In Mark 16:15, Jesus said ..."Go
into all the world and preach the gospel...". Jesus tells us
to spread the good news of His gospel. That is that He has
paid the price for our sin, and that if we turn from our sin and receive Him as the
sovereign Lord of our lives, we will spend eternity in heaven with
Him. CCMV desires to see Jesus Christ glorified throughout all
the nations of the world! |

Short-term Missions

We have had the opportunity as a church body to be involved in short
term missions, either by sending out individuals or going as a
group. In the past years, we've had the opportunity to send out people
to Nicaragua
and Mexico. If you are interested in joining us for a trip
please contact Mark Eldridge at
meldridge@ccmv.org. |

Horizante Rosarito Summer Missions Trip
2007
Some of our church members were able to return to Horizante
Rosarito to minister to the community in Baja California
through hosting VBS outreaches, BMX and skateboard
competitions, graffiti outreaches, teaching the youth, and
practically ministering to those in need through
construction projects. We continue to build our relationship
with the fellowship there and hope that you can join us in a
future trip |

Horizante Rosarito
Short Term Mission 2006
This summer our youth group and other members of our church
were able to go to Rosarito, Mexico and partner with
Horizante
Rosarito for a week of service and ministry. Some of our
activities included setting up the youth skate park, digging
holes, cleaning up the |

 |
|
|
church, and preparing outreaches to the
Youth and children on the community. We were able to play soccer
with the youth, perform dramas, sing songs, and play games with the
kids, but most importantly we had the opportunity to share the
gospel with the people of Rosarito. Horizante Rosarito is heavily
involved with the youth in the community through hosting a Skate
Park free for all to use.
In September a small group was able
to return for a skate contest community outreach to minister to the
kids and we hope to return annually.

Managua Nicaragua
Short Term Mission 2005 |
| |
Mark and Jack, two
members of our fellowship, went to Nicaragua to help
Calvary Chapel Managua in their ministry to the
people in the area. Some of their ministries include a small
orphanage, a 1st - 6th Christian school, and a feeding center as
well as a ministry to those living at the local dump.
Mark and Jack got to see first hand what it's like
to live and minister in an impoverished area and
left with a greater appreciation and awareness of
the need to share God's gospel and God's love.

La Posada
Mexico
Short Term Mission 2005
A group from CCMV joined up with other Calvary Chapels in
the area to minister at an orphanage in La Posada, Baja
California. With puppet shows, food, music, crafts, face painting, toys,
and lots of the Lord's love they ministered to |
|
 |
|
people at the orphanage and reached out
to people in the area. The Lord used these outreaches to bring several of the local
people to Himself.
The team was a living testimony of God's goodness &
care from Psalm 29:11 "The Lord will give strength to
His people. He will bless His people with peace."

Missions
Support and Participation

We feel it is important to partner with organizations who
have been called by the Lord to do His work and so we
support and participate with organizations such as Gospel for
Asia and
Samaritan's
Purse who faithfully work to spread the gospel of Jesus
Christ. We've been blessed to provide the funds
for Gospel for Asia to build a church building in an area hit by the 2004 Tsunami. We also participate each
year in Samaritan's Purse's
Operation Christmas Child with individuals in the church
preparing shoeboxes filled with gifts and love for children
in impoverished areas all around the world. Some of
our part time missionaries have had the privilege of being
in the field when they were delivered and have seen the
fruit of this ministry. |

Prayer

One of the most important ways that we can support missions and
missionaries is to lift them up in prayer before our gracious Lord. |
| |
|
Please join us in prayer for the
following:
- Please pray for Kurt and Sally,
that the Lord will be their strength as they prepare for long
term missions work in Cambodia.

- Pray for our (6) GFA
missionaries and their families for safety and provision as they
share the Gospel under intense persecution and hardship.

- Pray with us that God would use
CCMV to send out men and women who are willing to give their
lives for the Gospel in such places as the Middle East and the
10/40 window.

- Pray that the Lord would raise up
people with a heart to go on short-term missions trips and
experience what the Lord is doing amongst the nations of the world.
